Over the past two years, Alberta’s education system has faced many challenges that we could not have predicted just a few short years ago. It is no surprise, however, that Alberta School Boards Association has shown incredible leadership and resilience in meeting these challenges.
As always—and even more so this past year—trustees have gone above and beyond to ensure our students continue to receive the high-quality education that Alberta is known for.
As we continue to deal with the pressures of COVID-19, we also looked forward to a school trustee election this past fall. I am pleased for this opportunity to acknowledge President Lorrie Jess and Vice-president Trina Boymook, who served out their respective terms in these roles. Alberta was fortunate to have you serving our schools and students. Your commitment and excellence as leaders in our education system will have a lasting impact on our province.
